Meet the Staff

Rev Roger Jones

Rev. Roger Jones is our new Family Minister who has outstanding experience, expertise, connections and wonderful sense of humor.  A graduate of Meadville-Lombard Theological School in Chicago, Roger served as Minister for the UU Fellowship in Sunnyvale, California and as Interim Minister at the Minnesota Valley UU Fellowship in Bloomington.  With strong interests in a number of areas, including family ministry, children's religious education, youth work and worship, Roger's focus this year will emphasize ministering to the congregation, especially our children, youth and families; assessing the effectiveness of existing and new, innovative programs to strengthen our Religious Education and outreach to children and youth; engaging us in conversations about what we are seeking for our families; and advising us on programs and staffing that would best meet our needs in the immediate future.

Miranda Massa

Miranda  serves as the Religious Education Assistant. She began working at UUSS in the childcare room with the young children. Miranda enjoyed her time in the childcare room very much. In her new Religious Education Assistant position she provides administrative support to the Child and Youth Religious Education program at UUSS, working with the chairperson and members of the Religious Education Committee and the Family Minister.  She works two weekday afternoons and Sunday mornings in the Religious Education office
