Newcomers To UUSS Religious Education (RE), Welcome!

If you are a newcomer with children, we're glad to have you with us and we'll be happy to answer any and all of your questions.

The Religious Education program at UUSS serves children and youth from infancy through age 20.  Childcare is offered for infants through age 5 at both the 9:30am and 11:15am services, while Religious Education classes are available for children and youth age 3 – 20 during the 9:30 service.

Classroom programs offered at this earlier service provide developmentally appropriate opportunites for the children and youth to form community, explore values and beliefs, and wonder about life's big questions.  Alternatively, attending the 11:15 service will allow your children to experience a worship service in the main auditorium with you.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before a service to register your child or children at the Religious Education table in front of the Foyer entry to the Sanctuary. Additional instructions and information will be provided by friendly, knowledgeable RE volunteers at that time.

Children may attend class and/or service in attire that is most comfortable for them. For 9:30 classes, we do suggest that children dress for both sitting quietly as well as for running, painting, jumping, coloring, climbing and other kid-like activities!
