The Master Plan FaciltatorsLeft to Right: Ginger Enrico, Colene Schlaepfer, |
Master planning is really about long term stewardship, and UUMP (Unitarian Universalist Master Planning) is specifically about the building and grounds portion of the master plan. UUMPF (UUMP Facilitators) has two charges from the congregation. One is to come up with a strategy for the building and grounds master planning process (how will we do this and what is involved?). The other is to facilitate and be responsible for the development and early implementation of the master plan. Throughout this process we will be investigating, articulating, and communicating the issues related to building and grounds master planning. This website will include links to documents related to these processes.
In addition, there is an oversight committee whose role is to coordinate, communicate, and provide continuity to the entire process. A building and grounds master plan also needs to take into account finances, programs (activities on campus), and the legacy we hope to leave for those who follow us. The oversight committee is charged with making sure that these components are appropriately integrated into this master planning process. It is our intention to establish an interactive master planning blog.
