Vote to Approve the 50 Year Building and Grounds Master Plan

Provides a tangible long range vision of our campus in alignment with our projected needs and values

Which follows three principles:

  • Follow green, sustainable building practices,
  • Incorporate adaptive use of existing buildings and incorporate healthy elements of existing landscape.
  • Emphasize a welcoming appearance that highlights congregational values, spirit of place, and a feeling of sanctuary on campus.

Which includes:

Remodeling and enlarging the existing social hall/sanctuary.

Setting aside a coordinated site where a sanctuary (not part of this plan) would fit.

Adding a new social hall entrance and support spaces.

Remodeling the kitchen.

Adding shade to the patio.

Expanding the RE classrooms and kitchen.

Adding a new office/reception building.

Renovating the parking lot.

See Bugetary estimates for the above remodeling.

Motion to begin the implementation phase of the Master Plan and hire a fundraising  consultant:

The consultant will do a feasibility study and work with us through our capital campaign.  The feasibility study will  help us accurately estimate our budget for the first phase of the Master Plan and help us get ready for the capital campaign.

The funds for the consultant will come out of the funds already approved by the congregation for the Building & Grounds Master Planning process
