The UUSS Art Committee is presenting a new exhibit, beginning Friday, January 22nd. The bold abstract acrylic paintings of Sacramento artist Jo Ann Marquardt will be on display in the UUSS Main Hall until March 21, 2010. A Reecption for the Artist will be held on Friday the 22nd between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Each month Rev. Roger Jones invites individuals and families of all ages and stages to gather for dinner at a salad-bar buffet restaurant. This month we are dining at Fresh Choice on Howe Ave (near the church). Come get to know some other folks from UUSS, talk spirituality with a minister, and eat your spinach.—.it's good for you. Fresh Choice will return a discount of our total spending to UUSS if you bring the flyer (or get a copy at the church on Sunday). If you would like to co-host with Roger, setting aside some tables, greeting first-timers. No washing dishes expected from co-hosts, just a warm welcome, give him a phone call.

Want to make connections and get more involved in activities at UUSS? Meet people who share your interests at the tables on the patio Sunday morning, March 28, between and after services. Then stay for the Green Sanctuary Energy Fair with guests from SMUD, which starts at 1 p.m.

Committees and groups: Be sure to reserve a space to display your brochures, signup sheets, and other publicity. You are welcome to bring table decorations and light snacks if you wish. Program Council will set up the tables and print signs for you.
