Synopsis: This original script with six songs, two years in the making, is an immersive, entertaining collection of vignettes written by local women working onstage. The vignettes range from hilarious to poignant to edgy. These authentic stories reveal women who find purpose, sisterhood, freedom and validation through theatre. All song lyrics and compositions are exclusively designed for this production by El Dorado County musicians. Some scenes and songs are adult in nature.
Green Room Confidential is presented through special arrangement with our copyrighted writers. A small stipend will be given to actors to help with travel expenses, etc.

Shows: UUSS (Sacramento),4/21 through 5/7, 9 performances, Fridays & Saturdays, 8 pm; Sunday matinees, 2 pm.
Rehearsals: Starting on Feb. 7th, Mondays – Thursdays, at 6:30 pm, and vary depending on which scenes actors are cast in. Flexibility for schedule needs will be considered. Some weekend rehearsal time may be available as well. Rehearsal locations will vary between UUSS and the greater Placerville area. Rehearsal locations for specific scenes to be decided after casting.

Characters: Six to eight female roles and 1 male role. All roles require some basic singing ability. We are looking for a variety of vocal ranges. Some strong solo voices are needed. Actor playing the male roles must be able to sing solo lines. We seek an inclusive group of actors, who represent diversity and are strong, creative collaborators to bring this show to the stage. We encourage actors 18+ years of age for this ensemble, including seasoned actors. All actors will be members of the ensemble and cast in various scenes, each with its own unique character needs, which creates a rich stage opportunity.
How to Prepare:

• Please bring a headshot and resume
• Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement
• For the musical audition portion, you will be provided a short song to learn from the show. You can request a copy of the song from our Production Manager prior to auditions, if you wish, or you can learn it at auditions.
• You will be given short scenes or monologues to workshop/improv and present at auditions or callbacks.
