Our “Challenging Books for Challenging Times” summer reading for July is The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. This epic, beautifully written masterwork chronicles one of the great untold stories of American history: the decades-long migration of black citizens who fled the South for northern and western cities, in search of a better life.

Thank you so much to all who donated and helped to make our Refugee Welcome Kit event such a success.  Not only were we able to put together 9 complete kits, 5 partial kits, and pass on to World Relief several tubs of extra items, including two child car seats, we also raised over $600 for

It was an all-out feud between The Hope Family and The S.O.B. Family… all in good fun though, as can be seen in the photos below. All in all, The S.O.B.
