Join us in the Music/Theater Room at UUSS after the service this Sunday (28th), around 11:30, to play and sing or just listen. We’ll be there until 1:00 p.m., and will provide sheet music and a couple of spare ukes. All welcome!

Sunday morning 1/21 @ UUSS -Benefit for At-Risk Youth and Formerly Incarcerated Young Adults

A benefit for the American River Parkway Foundation’s Recreate for Health Program. It brings at-risk youth to the American River Parkway for healthy, empowering experiences and provides bicycles to previously incarcerated youth for transportation. Sunday morning 1/21 we will accept donations of fishing poles and reels, lures for trout/small fish, small first aid kits, Band-Aid

10 Computers Donated

The UUSS Refugee Program finished 2017 with 10  computers donated to our Computer Systems Pilot Project. Thank you for your support! Refurbished computers are provided to families obtaining services at International Rescue Committee, Sacramento.

Members of our Sac ACT Environmental Justice committee showed up to advocate and ask the County to add affordable housing, climate change mitigation and adaption, and public transit to their new Environmental Justice General Plan amendment!

Roger Jones gives Alliance a Korean Talk (Feb. 8th)

Roger Jones will give Alliance his tour of Korea.  He vacationed there in 2017.  Roger will present his insights and inspiration of it at the Thursday, February 8th meeting of the Alliance Group.  Meet at 10:45 AM in the Library.  Light refreshments will be served.  A $3 donation is appreciated.
