1. Volunteer Application Process
If you have not fully completed the ongoing volunteer application process:
a. Submit online application through IRC’s website here.
b. Send an email to refugeesupport@uuss.org to let us know that you have applied and what program(s) you are interested in.
c. IRC will contact you with a request for a phone interview.
i. At this point, IRC is resuming the “standard” volunteer process for UUSS.
ii. You will be matched with the specific program that you selected on your application.
d. After the phone interview, IRC will send you an email requesting a $30.00 payment for your Background Check.
e. Upon receiving your $30.00 payment, IRC will submit a request for your Background Check through Hire Right.
f. Hire Right will send you an email requesting information to complete your Background Check.
g. IRC will receive the results of your Background Check and, if your results state “Meets Company Standard” then IRC will send you a welcome email with instructions and assign you to your specified program.
h. You will be required to sign up for and attend a General Orientation.
i. AFTER attending the General Orientation, you must schedule program-specific training with your program’s supervisor.
2. Logging Volunteer Hours
If you are already on-boarded as an “ongoing volunteer” with IRC, you must follow these steps to log your volunteer hours, , which must be logged in daily and by the end of each month:
a. Process:
i. Login to Salesforce with your personal email address through this link: https://rescueonline.force.com/login
1. If you forgot your password, click “Forgot Password” to receive a new password via email from Salesforce.
ii. Click the yellow “SUBMIT” button towards the center top of the screen.
iii. Select “Individual Hours.”
iv. Enter the number of hours that you volunteered.
v. Avoid the dropdown choice “Shared Services.” (This is only used for volunteers who assist MG and R&P clients at the same time.)
vi. All logged hours are verified by IRC staff and corrected, if needed.
vii. If you have any problems or questions, contact your program’s supervisor.
b. What To Include:
i. Time spent working with or planning for the activity and clients (i.e., meetings, curriculum prep, training, etc. are included and must be logged).
ii. NOT included or logged = time spent traveling to/from class.
1. EXCEPTION: include transit time ONLY if you’re also transporting a client. In this case, you may submit mileage to your program’s supervisor.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
At Committee is meeting August 11, 9:15 to plan the activities for the church year. I will ask the chair to put your name on the Drive To Thrive interest list.
At church last Sunday, it was mentioned that you were looking for volunteers to help with driving lessons for the refugees. We would like to volunteer to do that. What should we do next?
