Reception for Abstract Modernist artist Cherie Hacker

Our Reception for multi media artist Cherie Hacker is on Thursday April 10th at 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM. A short talk by the artist will begin at 7 PM. She uses all sorts of additives when creating her paintings such as charcoal, sand, paper and oil pen. Come hear her talk about her process. She earned her MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and served a Graduate Internship at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She also obtained a BA from UC Davis.
Congregants have been asking how does she add so many different mediums into her paintings, such as sand and oil pencil? 0il and acrylic all in one painting? Come to the reception this Thursday the 10 th of April to hear a short talk by the artist about her background and her methods. Q&A’s are welcome.
