About Dave’s ministry:
Last March Rev. Rev. Dave Scheuneman came to Sacramento for a retreat named “Spiritual Practice in a World on Fire.” We found comfort and inspiration from his presence and his words. We experienced community and encouragement from the group, even while sitting in meditation. Several have asked for another retreat, and Dave will be back in town this month!
As a spiritual director, he brings wisdom, compassion, joy and a spirit of devotion to everyone he teaches and coaches. A third-generation UU, David is a graduate of Meadville Lombard Theological School, where he led meditation for his classmates, including Roger Jones.
He has been teaching meditation for over 20 years, with training from several sources. Since 2005, he has also had a thriving ministry with youth and young adults on Star Island, the UU conference center off the New Hampshire coast. See his home page at www.RootedInSpirit.org.
As a traveling teacher, he relies on the generosity of supporters to keep his ministry sustainable.
