Our “Challenging Books for Challenging Times” summer reading for July is The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. This epic, beautifully written masterwork chronicles one of the great untold stories of American history: the decades-long migration of black citizens who fled the South for northern and western cities, in search of a better life.
Its not to late to get started on this engaging and informative book. There are copies available in the our book store on Sunday. I look forward to seeing many of you at our discussions on Tuesdays July 12 at 6:30 and July 26th at 7. – Rev Lucy
