Have you wondered what it takes to be an actor?
Have you considered acting yourself?
If so, “The Art of Acting: A Personal Journey” is for you.
The six-week course begins Thursday, October 10, 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Room 7/8 and will be taught by UUSS member Michael Erwin. This course will examine the fundamentals of the acting process. Through the use of direct instruction, acting exercises, theatre games, and scene study, students will learn how to come to life emotionally using imaginary circumstances. Whether you are a beginning actor or a veteran actor, these fundamentals are essential in creating great (and enjoyable) performances. Cost: We suggest a donation of $30 for the whole series, to support UUSS programs.

Michael studied acting and directing at Indiana University and went on to earn a professional degree from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, earning the prestigious Jehlinger Award for Outstanding Acting. He continued studies at the Professional Class at The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. Michael has appeared in over forty stage productions over the years. He has also directed and acted in many Theater One plays and was a teacher for 37 years. For more information contact David Paul at
