Dear Members, Friends, Families and Guests,

March is the month when supporters of UUSS make our pledges of financial support for the coming budget year (2019-2020).

Rev. Lucy Bunch and I are grateful to be serving this congregation.  We are honored to be ministering with you in these times.  The isolation, fear, indifference, and hostility that afflict so much of the world right now make the goodwill, creativity, hospitality, and hope of this congregation even more precious.

As a community, we are sustained by love and courage.  In so many ways, we have been sharing the gifts of love and courage with one another, as well as reaching out into the larger community.  In so many ways, all of us together have been growing our mission:  We come together to deepen our lives and to be a force for healing in the world.

March is the month when members, friends and other supporters of UUSS come together to make financial pledges of support for the coming budget year.   It’s the month when we invite you to think about your part in stewardship of this community and our shared mission.

Your pledge does much more than cover the mortgage and utility bills, more than compensate our dedicated staff members and ministers.   Your pledge does more than keep our campus in good shape, more than strengthen our Music, Social Justice, Religious Education and Spiritual Deepening programs.  When grounded in love, generous giving inspires all of us with courage, love, and hope.

Stewardship is about coming together to grow our UUSS mission. Your generosity makes a difference! Generosity is a spiritual practice as well as the foundation of a strong and healthy community.

Each of us gives more than 5% of our gross income to UUSS because we are committed to its mission and values.  We both are inspired by the creativity, generosity and love of all of you.  We invite you to join us in making the most generous pledge you ever have.
