Your elected Board of Trustees (BOT) meets monthly.  Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 27, 6:30 pm on Zoom. You are welcome to join us by accessing the same Zoom link (uuss.org/online)as the Sunday morning services or in-person in the library. The agenda will be posted in advance of each meeting.

We think it is very important to keep the congregation updated about current and upcoming conversations.  The Board’s role is to oversee issues of UUSS finances, facilities, personnel and long-range planning; it makes decisions on policies rather than management decisions. You can find more information about the board and read the minutes and treasurer’s report here: uuss.org/board

Information from the March Board Meeting

·        PARKING LOT: The BOT voted to approve the parking lot improvement project bid obtained by the Administrative and Property Management Committee. This bid replaces the one voted on in the February BOT meeting. The updated bid will be for a more significant improvement to the parking lot with an increased scope of the project. The cost will be $36,095.

·        TREASURER’S REPORT: The Treasurer reports that income for the month of February is sufficient, but the success of the stewardship campaign will determine whether we are able to adequately budget for the coming year. More details can be found at the website here: uuss.org/board

·        MINISTERS’ REPORT: The ministers have set goals for this church year in alignment with the UUSS Strategic Plan goals. The ministers also report many newcomers are visiting UUSS and newcomer orientations are well attended.

·        MINISTERS’ EVALUATIONS: A team of three members have been chosen to do annual minister evaluations. The ministers look forward to the feedback they will receive.

·        STEWARDSHIP: The Stewardship Campaign has kicked-off. Your BOT members have pledged and hope all able members and friends will pledge and pledge generously.

·        SAFETY COMMITTEE: A committee has been formed. Please contact Denis Edgren for information or to volunteer at:

·        MINISTERIAL  INTERN: The BOT looks forward to having Rosemary Dodd join UUSS as our ministerial intern in August.

Leadership Opportunities

The UUSS BOT liaison to the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), Sally Wilkins, is looking for volunteer delegates to the UUA General Assembly that will be held in June 2023. UUSS has allocated funds to cover the registration fees of delegates. Please contact Sally or one of the ministers to volunteer or if you have any questions on the role.

Family Ministry is looking for volunteers for the UUSS All-Ages Camp at Camp Norge. This year’s camp dates are June 9-11. Please contact Rev. Roger () or Crystal Fountain () if interested.
