UUSS Sexually Safer Congregation Policy

At our August 24 Board meeting, we approved a UUSS Sexually Safer Congregation Policy. It is grounded in our UU principles and provides a framework for (1) keeping children, youth and vulnerable adults safe from sexual abuse, and (2) responding to a request for participation from a person accused or found guilty of a sexual offense against a child, youth or adult. The policy can be found on the Governance Documents page (found under the Members menu at the top of the page). Two forums on this policy will be held during September: Sunday, September 9 at noon in the Fahs Room, and Sunday, September 23 at 9:00am in the Fahs Room.
There are several other safety policies and practices that we need and will be developing as well, such as a building safety and evacuation plan.
