What is a Voting Member of UUSS?

Everyone with an interest in UUSS is welcome to attend the Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 16, but only Members may vote on UUSS business. Moreover, we do need a quorum of voting Members to allow us to conduct business, including elections. Members may vote and they may also be elected to serve in various elected positions. Currently UUSS has about 425 members.
As defined in the Constitution of UUSS, individuals become voting Members if they have signed the Membership Register and submitted their Member Record Form to the office and made a pledge of financial commitment. One retains voting membership by making a financial contribution of record in the past year
(A number of people choose to make a monthly financial pledge ever year but not to become members; officially they are called Pledging Friends. Friends and other folks are welcome to attend Congregational Meetings as well as church!)
Either minister would be happy to talk with you if you are interested in joining UUSS! If you are new to UUSS and interested in deeper participation, we invite you to click this link to read Thinking about Becoming a Congregation Member?
