Our Community Partner for August is Loaves and Fishes

This congregation has a practice of giving away half of every Sunday’s offering to an organization that is working to make a difference in the world. Loaves and Fishes is the largest service provider in Sacramento for the unhoused. For over 40 years they have provided warm meals, essential survival supplies and services for nearly 1,000 adults and children daily.
Once every month, UUSS volunteers help to prepare and serve a meal to guests at Loaves and Fishes, on the 4th Monday morning. Food prep is at 7:30 and serving is at 10:30 am. We especially need volunteers for the serving shift. Contact David Paul through the Blue Sheet or email .
To keep their services barrier-free, Loaves & Fishes does not solicit or accept government funds and are supported instead by the investment of individuals and private donations.
Thank you for your generosity to UUSS and our community partner.
