Legacy Giving
Pass on Your Values
by leaving a legacy gift to the UU Society of Sacramento
Pass it on…
If UUSS is like a family to you, consider including it in your will. A planned gift to UUSS is a meaningful way to ensure a bright future for UUSS. Current members and friends of UUSS have benefited from the generosity, values, and traditions that were left to us from past generations of Sacramento UUs. The most recent building renovations could not have been completed without the generous bequests left by members who have passed on. You have the opportunity to leave a lasting and important legacy for future generations of Sacramento UUs and the community at large.
Ways of Giving
Bequests allow you to give a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your total estate, or a residual portion of your estate.
You can name UUSS as the beneficiary of specific assets such as these:
IRAs, or other retirement accounts
Life insurance policies
Bank accounts
Certificates of deposit (CD)
Gifts of stock
Gifts of real estate
Some Benefits of Giving Through Estate Planning:
Perpetuate your values for future generations
Retain control of your assets during your lifetime. You can modify your bequest if your circumstances change.
Reduce income and estate taxes.
