I’m proud to be a co-chair of the Unitarians of Sacramento’s Family Promise program wherein we house homeless FAMILIES for a week at a time. 14 other churches/temples/religious houses rotate every 3 months to keep the program running. Click Here to learn about this program which helps homeless families find permanent housing. Sacramento is just one of many cities in the US that has a FP chapter. This week we have 16 people living on campus, an infant, 2 – 3-year-olds, a teen and various others. It takes 60 volunteers to make the week work and I’m grateful for each and every one of them. Thank you chefs, thank you laundry folks, thank you shoppers, hostesses and hosts, those of you who spend the night and those who set up and tear down.
We can’t do it without you!!
