Chocolate tasting hosted on Feb. 12
The UUSS Kids Freedom Club hosted a fairly-traded chocolate tasting event after church, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Many thanks to the Sacramento Food Co-Op and other local vendors for donating the chocolate.
As Justine explained in the service, this means the cacao beans were not farmed using child labor or adult slave labor. Unfortunately, many of the more well-known brands and many cheaper forms of chocolate can’t make that claim. Take note as you plan your candy purchases for Easter or Mother’s Day!
