Meeting With Congressman Bera!

Dr. Bera has agreed to meet with us on Sunday, January 10th. We will be educating him on the existence of slavery in modern society worldwide, tell him what we have done to fight slavery, and asking him to support our cause.
One surprising fact we will share with him is that slavery is at an all-time high, with a worldwide estimate of 27 million. A small debt of only a few dollars in an emergency situation can keep someone in service for decades.
We have done lots of fundraising like pancake breakfast, garage sale, and even a letter writing campaign to ask large companies to eliminate slavery from their supply chain.
We will ask him to support a new bill, HR 3226 which forces companies to keep slavery out of their supply chains. As he works on international trade agreements, we will ask him to include rules to make sure slavery is stopped.

Thanks for your interest. The meeting is just for Freedom Club members. The kids will be meeting with him at his legislative office. Perhaps in the future we could plan something for everyone to participate in.
Is the meeting for Freedom Club members only or open to all? Is it after service that afternoon?
that’s awesome!
