Our easy 3-4 mile Saturday Oct 22 hike is along the Laguna Creek Parkway, a riparian greenbelt in suburban Elk Grove. The hike is an easy 3-4 miles, with stops to view wildlife, turtles and a variety of birds, as we walk a mostly flat asphalt trail, crossing the creek, past marshes and wetlands, and under railroad trestles and across two roadways (with traffic lights). Our turnaround will be in a green park near a lake.
Times:
Carpoolers meet at UUSS at 9:00 am.
All meet at Jack Hill Park in Elk Grove, 9380 Porto Rosa Drive, by 9:45 am. We’ll start hiking no later than 10 am.
We should be back to the cars by noon, carpoolers back to UUSS between 12:30 and 1:00.
