We write as friends – one human connecting with another.
We seek to honor the dignity of all.
~Help End the Isolation~
There are more than 150 detained immigrants in Sacramento Co. jailed at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center in Elk Grove who will deeply appreciate receiving holiday cards.
A card-writing event will be held in the foyer of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento on December 17, 2017 12:45 pm to 2:00 pm. Look for the signs!
Cards will be provided. Your support with stamps would be greatly appreciated.
Faithful Friends~Amigos Fieles consists of committed trained volunteers who offer detained immigrants connection and support. Many immigrants in detention do not have family or friends who can visit them because they have been transferred to the Sacramento region from another part of the country or state.
We know everyone can’t be a visitor volunteer but we are glad if you are able to join us in sending cards of compassion
