As a followup to Jason Fareira’s powerful July presentation on environmental racism, and at the request of the attendees, Interfaith Earth Justice is holding an exploratory meeting to discuss the feasibility of a UUSS sponsored Kids to Nature program. The purpose of the program would be to make it possible for children from impacted areas of Sacramento to participate in Jason’s nature programs at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and other positive experiences in the natural world. We are consulting with the American River Parkway Foundation which currently has a similar program. All are welcome to join the discussion!
