Thursdays,August 17,24,31 at 7pm: Trinity Respecting Earth and Environment (TREE) offers 3-part series. On Aug. 17, it’s Al Gore’s TED talk, “The Case for Optimism on Climate Change.” On Aug. 24, it’s a video of two of the winners (one from Los Angeles and one from Nicaragua) of the 2017 Goldman Environmental Prize, chosen from each of the planet’s six continental regions for grassroots activism on behalf of their communities. On Aug. 31, it’s a slide presentation on water projects in Nicaragua by water engineer Ethan Casaday, facilitated by Michele Chouinard. Talks will be in Assembly Area above the Great Hall, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 2620 Capitol Ave., Sacramento 95816. Elevator available. Parking structure on 27th Street.
