Have ideas about how to make West Arden Arcade a better place to live and work? Sacramento County Planning staff is having a meeting to hear your ideas on October 16 from 6:30 – 8:30 at the Richard T. Conzelmann Community Center, Howe Park, 2201 Cottage Way.
West Arden Arcade is a County-designated Environmental Justice Community which means it is a community with high percentages of people of color, low-income residents and/or immigrant communities that experience high levels of environmental hazards and resulting health problems.
The Board of Supervisors has committed to identifying inequities inn environmental justice communities in the built environment in the following areas: pollution exposure and air quality, safe and sanity homes, healthy food access, promotion of physical activity, access to public facilities, promotion of civic engagement and crime prevention. The Board of Supervisors also committed to prioritizing improvements and programs that address the needs of environmental justice communities such as West Arden Arcade.
