Our first win! (Next meeting Mar. 6th)

Our Sacramento ACT Environmental Justice Committee met with County of Sacramento staff, County Supervisor Serna’s staff, and Supervisor Susan Peters. At these meetings we requested an opportunity for the voices of the people in West Arden Arcade who are affected by environmental injustice to be heard.
Today, we were happy to get a positive response to our request!
Members of the West Arden Arcade community will have two months to participate in a Sacramento County survey to hear the priorities of the community.
Now we will organize to reach the people whose health and well being are affected by housing, pollution, safety, transportation and other issues so that they can take the County survey. If you would like to help, please join us at our March 6 Sac ACT Environmental Justice Committee meeting in the UUSS Library at 7:00 p.m. Newcomer’s orientation is at 6:30.
Or, email or talk with Eric Ross, Hally Cahssai, Ruth McDonald, Rich Howard, Meg Gunderson, Frances Myers, Julie Snider, or Christine Bailey.
