Thank you all who attended the Orientation Meeting. It was great to meet you all and a fun way to start the new year of JHYG.
For those of you not able to attend, in addition to general introductions of people and curriculum, we all participated in a cooperative game. After the game, the participants offered the following observations (in parentheses ) which I have put in sentences.
The comfort of “support”.
The multitude of “ideas”.
Experiencing accomplishment using a “cooperative” approach”.
Experienced the “wondrousness” of group dynamics.
It is “fun”.
Involves the “creative”.
Demonstrates “helping people”.
What might your sentences look like?
Looking forward to 1st meeting of JHYG on 9/27.
Kate

JHYG will typically dedicate the first and second Sunday of each month to the Neighboring Faiths curriculum. This curriculum requires regular attendance, both on those Sundays and then about once a month for a visit to another faith’s worship service. On September 18 at 11:45, there will be a one-hour parent meeting to acquaint parents and guardians with Neighboring Faiths, the plan for this year, and Anthony Johnson, the lead teacher to prepare us guardians, after the church service.
