Elizabeth (Betty) Faist died of heart failure on June 5 at age 91. A longtime member of UUSS and our Women’s Alliance, Betty was a generous volunteer for many organizations and a birder, pressed flower artist, traveler, cook and master bridge player. With a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, she worked as a clinical lab technician until age 75! She is survived by one sister, daughters Susan, Karen and Marianna, and several grandchildren. A memorial service and reception will take place at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at Casa Garden Restaurant, 2760 Sutterville Rd. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the UUSS Endowment Trust. –Rev. Roger
