Best outreach event ever at UUSS!!! Beautiful work by local musicians, dancers, and artists. It was very well attended and enthusiastically applauded by many from the larger Sacramento community in addition to UUSS members. Additionally, we raised $400.00 for the Sacrmento Chapter of Black Lives Matter. Thank you to all who helped support this event and those who volunteered to assist me and the music committee in sponsoring it: Pat Skeels; Cathy George; Paula Joy Welter; Colleen Emyces; Byron Tucker; Sally Wilkins; Kim Marta; Barbara Washington, and Sarah and Joseph Turner. A very special thank you to choreographer Malia Jones for creating a sensitive and beautiful program and including our the talented musicians, Ina and Sandro to bring beauty and a profound message to us.
Can’t wait. Malia’s dancers and choreography are always amazing. We heard two of the violin/piano pieces at church on Sunday, contemporary works…excellent!
