All who are interested in joining our choir and all singers returning to choir are invited to our 4th annual choir retreat. Held at a different lovely venue every year, this Saturday afternoon gathering launches our fall singing season. Previous hosts have included Carmichael Presbyterian Church, Temple Beth Shalom synagogue, and Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church. This year we’ll meet in the sanctuary of Centennial United Methodist Church, 5401 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento, on Saturday, August 17, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Highlights include a get (re)acquainted time and fun mixer, voice coaching from our guest expert, and a preview and first rehearsal of our exciting new music! As always, music reading is not required. We’ll also get to know our new pianist/accompanist, Irina! Everyone is invited to dine out together in a local restaurant afterwards. Centennial Methodist (pictured) is a beautiful sanctuary with excellent acoustics and a pipe organ.
