Thank you Kaitlin for sending me this inspiring & uplifting live performance of the Resistance Revival chorus 3 days ago in front of a Trump Hotel. Note the long white dresses (also worn by Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and Geraldine Ferraro) — an homage to the suffragettes.

Irina also recently sent me a gorgeous, stress reducing piano intermezzo in A major by Brahms, a favorite composer of hers (and many of us!) Enjoy!
I appreciate all of you sharing your wonderful musical discoveries and following my weekly Moments. Next week I’ll return to an “instrument of the week” as we continue our musical education via email, emulating so many school kids still learning (at least some of the time) from home. Please also join me at 7:00 p.m. Nov 18th for my “Wellspring Wednesday” session on the formation, context, translation, and interpretation of the Bible. (You’ll need a Bible and a one page worksheet /study guide that I’ll post on the church website shortly.
Finally, we recall last Sunday singing along with our own Chalice Singers — how can we keep from singing!? I even invented a variation of the last verse: “When Trumpites tremble sick with fear, they know Joe Biden’s winning! And friends rejoice both far and near, how can we keep from singing?” Here’s you, the UUSS choir, with Tom Voigt off screen singing our Gospel version of this classic hymn on 3/20 / 2019 — @ one year exactly before the quarantine. (You can go into the UUSS Music and Choir page for more of our hits!)
