Music Moment # 31

Hello, all! I hope your Christmases were all you wished for, if not more! I’m sure we are all looking ahead to 2021. I reprint below one of the cutest, sweetest ‘thank you’ emails for the holiday music I contributed to. It’s from an active family with three little ones:
Our family enjoyed the Christmas Eve service and we are so grateful to you for all the work you do to bring us wonderful music, especially at the holidays. During the service, our 18 month old daughter went up to the computer and pointed at you and said, “Eeeth! Eeeth!” And then made a pantomime of dancing and singing. She doesn’t say all that many recognizable words yet, so this is momentous! And it goes to show that even the smallest among us is very pleased to see and hear you in service. I hope one day soon she gets to tell you in person that she learned your name and she likes to dance while you sing or play music.
Please all of you feel free to jump up and dance at sing at any zoom service (none sees you, unless your video and audio are on!) I am enjoying my (330) teacher’s jokes and puns book from my elf. I was going to tell you one about the high school prom night — but the punch line was too long :)
One more attempt at humor – with a musical note (pardon another pun!) This time our daughter Maya (25 tomorrow!) contributed a video clip to my Monday Moments: a funny SNL Christmas Morning song. But she was clueless about the big jump-on-it keyboard bit (from the Tom Hanks movie “Big” — remember that?) Okay, Irina, a new challenge! : )
Here’s a song I bought a sample copy of just before Covid – composed by Mark A Miller, who wrote “More Love” (which we sang). When we re-open Main Hall, I hope we will all ‘draw the circle wide’ and let many, many folks in!
Peace
Keith
