__________
On Sunday April 14, as we welcomed our treasured Rev. Lucy Bunch back from her sabbatical, we were also delighted to welcome guest musicians Susan on clarinet and Corbin on cello from Sac State, who played a trio with Ina on piano. They played Johannes Brahms’s Clarinet Trio in A Minor, Op. 114 (First Movement).
All are members of the Baroque Ensemble at Sacramento State University and were winners of this year’s Watson Family Chamber Music Competition (April 5), which seeks to give scholarships to Sac State students.
Hymns we sang for this service included “I Am Willing” by Holly Near, “We Give Thanks For This Precious Day” (#1010), and “We’ll Build A Land” (#121). Ina also graced the service with “Tango in D” by Isaac Albeniz on piano.
