Two different services on Christmas Eve! —

All are welcome at both services on Christmas Eve Sunday.
- At 10:30 AM we celebrate Yule with a special ritual of decorating our three trees–bring an ornament or use one of ours. This is a service for all ages, with a crafts table for all who would like to occupy their hands during the music and words of the service. Our choir will sing twice, and we all will join in a participatory singing of “12 Days of Christmas.” You’ll hear “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” like you’ve never seen him. You may even think YOUR nose glows! Coffee, tea, lemonade and conversation follows church.
- at 7:00 PM we have our traditional Christmas Eve Candle Light Service. We will sing traditional carols, hear ancient words from the Gospel of Luke and a retelling of the Nativity Story, plus a brief homily and prayer for peace and courage. We conclude with lighting candles in the round and singing “Silent Night.” This night’s offering will support River City Food Bank.
Rev. Lucy Bunch, Keith Atwater, our many musicians and worship leaders join me in extending a warm welcome to either or both services!
