Another Good Deed, Indeed, On the UUSS Parkway Mile

Out on the morning of Saturday, August 11, on the American River Parkway were 15 good spirits who walked and worked to rid UUSS’s adopted mile of about 400 lbs of trash. And they still managed to smile about it afterward! Among the pleasing things that happen in doing this work are frequent expressions of appreciation from walkers, runners and cyclists on the trail. Doing the good work this day were, approximately from left in the photo below: Catherine O’Brien, Jeff Voeller, Rayma Forrest, Liz Ota, Bobbie Keill, Deirdre Downes, Kenji Ota, David Paul, Patricia Pratt, Gary Keill, Eric Ross, Meg Gunderson, John Abbott, Ashley Hamrick, and the photomaker (in the shadow).
If “pride goeth before a fall…”, then I’m about to stumble, because I am really proud of what this crew did this morning.
With much appreciation,
Dave
