CLEAN UP POSTPONED FROM SATURDAY JAN 14TH TO SATURDAY, JAN. 21ST DUE TO RAIN

Parkway Stewards and friends:
NOTICE: Due to a current forecast of 100% probability of rain throughout this coming Second Saturday, January 14th, we will be postponing our Clean Up until the Third Saturday, January 21st at 9am when the forecast is for partly cloudy skies, but no rain.
We usually meet each month on the second Saturday at the parking lot at the end of Northrop Avenue, off Howe Avenue, behind Panera Bread. We sign in; trash bags are provided and new folks are oriented. We then spend one hour removing trash from the UU Mile. We meet back next to the levee stairway for a photograph of our crew and the results of our efforts. Many of us then go over to Panera for refreshments and conversation. Please wear good shoes, bring gloves and water to hydrate, perhaps a “grabber”, and your volunteer spirit… consider masking if you deem it appropriate. And because of the wet, coldish weather consider dressing in layers. Two months in a row with a postponement because of the weather…who would have thunk!!
