Double O’s mugging for the camera…

Thanks to everyone who came out this past weekend on Saturday, January 11th. We had 16 adults and two children help out on what was a bright, rainless, but very chilly day. Because of the efforts of other groups and possibly luck, we did not pick up as much trash as usual, but the energy and effort were great and well aided by four new adults and two children to our ranks… Thank you very much to the Matthews family who reached out to me before the cleanup, did such a nice job out there, and socialized with our large group later at Panera. Also, big thanks to Theodora Wilner and Bruce Heard (first-timers) who really pitched in, according to Betty Crockford, and also spent time with the crew afterwards for coffee and enjoyable chat.

Our next UUSS Parkway Stewards’ Saturday cleanup is Saturday, February 8th beginning at 8:45am. Join us in fulfilling our mission statement by participating in environmental service: “We come together to deepen our lives and be a force for healing in the world.”

With gratitude,

Eric Ross, Mile Steward
