Dear Parkway Stewards and friends,
On Saturday, February 11th , a group of thirteen Stewards came out to do our monthly clean up. The large “pond” of water (the aftermath of January’s heavy rains) on the back loop of our UU Mile had dried up, revealing widely scattered bottles, cans, food containers, abandoned clothing, mattresses, bicycles and many other bits and pieces of debris. Working energetically for an hour, we cleaned up, bagged and transported over 500 pounds of garbage to three locations for pick up. (Two of which are pictured below). Some of us individually collected three full 42 gallon contractor bags. All who turned out should be proud of what they accomplished. Thanks so much for your efforts!!! What we do makes a difference in keeping our beautiful Parkway clean for all those who use it.
Looking ahead, we hope to see you on Saturday, March 11, 2023 back at the Northrop Access. We will continue our regular start time with a 8:45am to 9am check-in.
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Eric Ross, Mile Steward
