Finding Light On The Parkway, Sunday, April 5, 2020

Hi, Folks,
It’s raining in Sacramento as I write, and at least metaphorically, it’s raining all over the world. But the ancient Persian adage, often attributed to the poet Rumi, assures us that: “This too shall pass.” The proverb, “…reflects on the temporary nature, or ephemerality of the human condition.”*
George Harrison’s ballad, “Here Comes The Sun”**, celebrated the sunrise after a long wet winter in England. Here, as a reminder of what surely we’ll celebrate again when the clouds begin to pass away, is a sunrise over the American River.
Wishing you lightness on a dark and damp day, and an awareness of the certainty of a bright sunrise again soon,
Dave
