“All of a sudden I had the revelation of how enchanting my pond was,” said French impressionist painter Claude Monet. We needn’t go to France to be enchanted by a pond. Last Sunday, Bobbie Keill found this delightful view of the pond that’s nearby at Sailor Bar Park on the American River Parkway. I brought the photo up to full-screen size on my desk-top computer and just sat by the pond for a few minutes. Such a satisfying respite from the concerns of the day.
