Finding Light On The Parkway, Wednesday, May 20, 2019

Hi, Folks,
I drifted in my kayak toward this flock of highly opinionated Double-crested Cormorants. They seemed willing to share their views, so I asked, “Do you think hydroxychloroquine should be taken for Covid-19? If so, look right!”; and, “If you think hydroxychloroquine should NOT be taken for Covid-19, look LEFT!”
Then I asked the sources of their beliefs. The ones facing right said that a large, chunky, loud, orange bird known as a Washingtonian Cock-of-the-rock (related to the Guinanian Cock-of-the-rock ( https://ebird.org/species/gcoroc1) had flown by and told them, “A lotta birds are taking it. Whaddya have to lose?”. The birds facing left were relying on recommendations from the Cormorant Centers for Disease Control (CCDC), which cited scientific studies advising against the use of it.
I do hope that, in dealing with complex matters such as the Coronavirus, we can all recognize and heed competent advisors. OK; please forgive my snarky story. I hope that you have a beautiful day today!
Dave
