Fire on the Parkway

Hello, UU members and friends,
I will be sending out a notice in the next couple of days about our upcoming Parkway cleanup starting a 7:45 am on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the levee behind Panera Bread on Howe Ave. where we usually meet.
I am hoping all of you can come out and lend a hand. On June 22nd, our UU Mile (Mile 6/7 North of the American River Parkway) suffered a blow. Twenty-two acres, covering a large section of the UU Mile, were burned due to what authorities on the scene indicate was a human-caused fire, leaving a significant area for our stewards to survey and remove trash and other debris from.
I look forward to hearing from you and spending time with you out on the Parkway.
Thanks very much,
Eric Ross
