Thirteen was a very lucky number today for the UU mile of the American River Parkway, because that’s the number of fine folks who showed up this morning to clean it up. There was much work to be done, but our willing and hard-working crew got right into the job, pulled out a surprising amount of trash, restored the area to a much cleaner condition than they found it, and still had beautiful smiles to show when the job was done. Rayma Forrest, Seth Bell and Wayne Bell pitched right in with our group for the first time, as did Jackie Prince, an out-of-state guest of Tamara and Roger Olson. A fun gathering for treats and conversation ensued thereafter at Panera.
