Dear Parkway Stewards,
On a beautiful Saturday, this past May 11th, the able crew pictured above went out and did an early morning trash clean up of our UU Mile. Stepping up were the dynamic duo of the “Double O’s”, Joyce Ownbey and Catherine O’Brien, who served as co-Mile Stewards while yours truly was enjoying the fjords and remote island world of northern British Columbia. A number of our regulars showed up with the welcome addition of Lori Moreland. Thanks, Lori, for your efforts! Much appreciation for all of you guys’ and gals’ work.
Our next clean up is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th with an 8:45 am arrival and an hour of work from 9 to 10 am; If higher temperatures are forecast, we may want to come out earlier that morning. As always, everyone who comes out and participates in our once a month clean up of our American River Parkway UU Mile, makes our area cleaner and more visually safisfying for the many people who walk and bike the area near the Northrop Access. Please come out and join us in helping keep our Parkway more beautiful! We look forward to you seeing you….
Cheers,
Eric Ross
