Parkway Stewards began the New Year with their usual enthusiasm and a vigorous clean up…

Dear Parkway Stewards and friends,
On Saturday, January 21st , having skipped the heavy rain a week before for the second month in a row (the regular Second Saturday Clean-up date), thirteen of our veterans came out on a mild, semi-sunny day. After an hour of energetic work, we had collected a large amount of trash, including once again turning “dump central” in the parking lot at the Northrop access from an ugly mess into a much cleaner area. Unfortunately, the wet ground off the paved areas prevented us from getting at some of the remaining trash left from encampments due to the earlier strong downpours. Thanks to all of you who pitched in and made it happen!!!
Per usual, a number of us then walked over to Panera Bread and had an enjoyable time socializing over coffee and breakfast treats.
Looking ahead, we hope to see you on Saturday, February 11, 2023 back at the Northrop Access. We will continue our regular start time with a 8:45am to 9am check-in to begin our clean-up….
Thanks,
Eric Ross
