Hi, All,

Three cheers to each of the 17 spirited folks who came out to clean up the UU mile of the American River Parkway this morning! What a treat it was to see so many experienced hands today, and five new “first timers” who did a wonderful job of leaving the UU mile in beautiful condition. Many of us had a very enjoyable time at Panera afterward, recounting the experiences of the morning and sharing pleasant conversation on a broad range of topics.

Next month, in what may be a hot August, we’ll plan to start a half-hour earlier than usual, at 8:30 AM on second Saturday, August 13; and because we’ve had such great turnouts, we’ll try shortening our time on the trails to one hour if more than 10 people show up. So, mark your calendars now and plan to lend a hand to do a good and needed deed with some really nice people!
