Caring Committee starts up!

We are happy to announce the formation of a new group, the Caring Committee. This energetic group will reach out to congregants dealing with loss, significant medical issues, and major life transitions, offering loving-kindness and, when it would be helpful, a few meals. We are counting on help from the wider congregation to be able to respond effectively to congregants in need.
Here’s how you can help:
- Sign up at the Activity Fair for a big-batch soup-making party on Saturday, September 16.
- Sign up at the Activity Fair to be on a call list to make and deliver a meal for a congregant in need. You won’t be called more than a few times a year. You can say no if the timing doesn’t work for you, and you can specify how far you are willing to drive.
- Sign up at the Activity Fair to make Get Well and We’re Thinking of You cards to be used by the Caring Committee over the course of the year. We’ll be making cards together on September 16, or you can make them on your own.
Please direct questions to committee chair Dawn Huebner or email .

What a great idea to help give support to others in need in our community! I will be out of town to sign up to help make meals but do want to be on your list.
Thanks, Joan! I’ll email you back channel. For anyone else who might be reading this, you can also sign up on September 17 and 24 in the Welcome Hall (not for the collective soup-making, which is happening on September 16, but to make/deliver meals in the future for congregants in need).
