Implicit Bias 2/9/21, 10:30 am. Racial Justice Zoom Link
Resources to Review:
- The Ohio State University’s Kirwan Institute (Implicit Racial Bias 101:)
There are 3 modules (really 4 but skip Mod 2 as it’s specific to child welfare), one of which includes a link to the Implicit Association Test. It took about 40 min to do the videos (and extra to do the tests).
- 2. TED Talk: How racial bias works — and how to disrupt it, Jennifer Eberhardt, 14 minutes, June 22, 2020
Reflection/Discussion Questions
1. What observations, aha’s or challenges came up for you?
2. Can you think of a situation when bias influenced the situation? How?
3. What is a lesson learned about bias that you take with you?
